Most Visited Tourist Attractions in Davao



CROCODILE PARK
Diversion Road, Maa

The only crocodile farm in the region, Crocodile Park provides home to locally bred crocodiles including the country's biggest crocodile named Pangil (fang), measuring 18 feet in length. One can take pleasure from viewing the park's aviary, horseback riding or simply feeding the young reptiles.


DAVAO MUSEUM
Insular Village I, Lanang

The Davao Museum houses an interesting and colorful display of authentic tribal costumes, weapons, musical instruments and other native implements of the many tribes of Mindanao. Historical memorabilia of the pioneering families in Davao are also on display.


EDEN NATURE PARK
Eden, Toril

An 80-hectare nature park nestled on a hill at about 2,600 feet above sea level and boasts of cool climate all-year round. Here, you can relax amidst pine trees, marvel at its organic vegetable and herbal gardens and fruit orchards, take an adventurous hike via its boulder trail or go horseback riding.


MALAGOS GARDEN RESORT

An inland resort with cottages for overnight stay, restaurant, seminar hall, butterfly sanctuary, rare orchid garden, camping area, horseback riding, fishponds, view deck café, Noah's Ark topiary, adventure playground, trading post and garden exhibits.


MT. APO NATURAL PARK
Tamayong, Davao City Side

The country's highest peak, towering at 10,311 feet above sea level. It boasts of hot and cold crystal clear spring water, waterfalls and moss-covered forests. It is considered an international mecca for mountain climbing.

Established in 1936, the Mt. Apo Natural Park has an area of 72,113 hectares. Only 50 kilometers from Davao, the park offers spectacular mountain scenery, waling-waling Wanda sanderiana) orchids, special wildlife, Philippine Eagle Breeding Center, and interesting culture of local community.

Both local and foreign mountaineers visit the park during the months of March, April and October to December. Visitors are advised to proceed to the Protected Area Superintendent's (PASu) Office for a brief orientation on the protected area and rules and regulations before entering the park.


PHILIPPINE EAGLE RESEARCH AND NATURE CENTER
Malagos, Calinan

The rare and endangered Philippine Eagle, endemic to the forests of the Philippines, makes its home in this nature conservatory. Spread over a vast forest reserve that is also home to a wide variety of indigenous plants and Philippine birds, this center is responsible for the propagation of the species.

The Philippine eagle, P. jefferyi, is by far the most important bird species in Mt. Apo. This bird is not found elsewhere in the world and has become the symbol of environmental preservation in the country.


PUENTESPINA ORCHID AND TROPICAL PLANTS GARDEN
Bolcan St., Agdao, Davao City

A wide array of exotic orchids of different species has turned the place into a magnificent garden. This orchid garden is home to the waling-waling of different hues and has an impressive variety of chrysanthemums and other ornamental plants.


SHRINE OF THE HOLY INFANT JESUS OF PRAGUE
Shrine Hills, Mating

The Shrine has replicas of the Holy Infant Jesus of Prague and Our Lady of Fatima and is considered the local pilgrimage site of Davao's Roman Catholic population. One can enjoy the magnificent views of fruit bearing trees, coconut plantation and the majestic Mt. Apo from the south.
  


T'BOLI WEAVING CENTER
Insular Hotel Grounds

The T'boli Weaving Center showcases numerous arts and crafts of the T'boli tribe. It displays an actual weaving of colorful tinalak and other indigenous fabrics by T'boli women. It is also a souvenir shop selling native handicrafts, T'boli musical instruments and fashion accessories.
